Dead Links Checker

Instructions for Checking Dead Links

1. Click the "Dead Links" button on the toolbar to access the Dead Link Checker screen.
2. Click "Perform Search" - BMP will automatically check each link in your bookmarks to see if it is working.  If the site is inoperable or permanently moved, it will appear on the list with an error message under the Status column.
3. If you would like link checker to stop while in progress, click the "Cancel" button and wait.

Moving Dead Links to the Dead Links folder

1. Once the link checking operation has finished or has been cancelled, you can move the identified broken links to the "Dead Links" folder.  Right click or click the "Actions" button to get a menu.  The "Move All/Selected to Dead Links Folder" options will move bookmarks to the dead links folder.
2. The dead links should now appear in the Dead Links Folder, directly above the Favorites folder in the Bookmarks screen.  You may view, edit, delete, and restore the dead links from the Dead Links folder.

Restoring Bookmarks from the Dead Links folder

1. To restore a bookmark, right click on it and click "Restore" from the popup menu.
